A chance to see Bourne Gutter in Full Flow
As we are situated on the chalk uplands of the Chilterns, there are no streams in the immediate vicinity of Bovingdon. However, the northern boundary of the parish follows the line of the Bourne Gutter, a stream which occasionally flows from a spring rising in a meadow at the foot of White Hill, on the little lane from Whelpley Hill to Berkhamsted. The stream flows eastwards to Bourne End, where it joins the River Bulbourne.
