HELP PLEASE
We are still looking for a volunteer driver for the C.V.S. vehicle which can be seen going around the village on a Wednesday. We are looking for a driver for every third Wednesday to collect and return our visitors and possibly for the occasional outing. All expenses will be reimbursed.

Day Care exists to help care for the elderly frail of our village. We meet on Wednesdays in the Football Club, where we have a varied programme of events, activities and outings. We finished our Winter Session with a very successful trip to the pantomime in Chesham and we are very grateful to the restaurant at Little Hay for entertaining us so well in February and for the lovely meal.

Although we are supported by Age Concern Dacorum we receive no financial backing and we are therefore extremely grateful to all those people and organisations who support us during the year - so we would just like to take this opportunity to remind you that our next Sale in the Memorial Hall will be 14th May at 9.30 a.m.

We provide a warm and caring environment for our members to come and talk to people of their own age group. A usual Wednesday would be coffee followed by dominoes, scrabble, cards or just general chat. We then have lunch and some varied entertainment in the afternoon. We do have outings, pub lunches and have been fortunate enough to be invited into local gardens for afternoon tea.

Our membership is by referral via Social Services or local doctors.

Unlike similar Centres we have a strong male presence which helps makes us the happy inter-active group that we are and if you would like to volunteer to help us please contact the Bovingdon Day Care Centre (details in the Bovingdon News).
