Bovingdon Baptist Church

Bovingdon Baptist Church does not have a full-time minister at present. So, for the time being, the church is being organised by a small team of lay leaders.
Services on Sunday are led by a team of visiting preachers who seek to make the Bible alive and relevant to our everyday world.

SUNDAY BY SUNDAY
ALL AGE WORSHIP SERVICE, 10.30AM:

  • our services are relaxed and informal
  • we do our very best to appeal to both adults and children
  • our songs and prayers have a modern, everyday feel to them
  • week by week we are challenged, corrected, encouraged, affirmed, changed, and helped by the things we read in the bible
  • we have a Sunday School that helps our children and young people discover the relevance of the bible for themselves
  • we encourage babies and parents to stay in the service if at all possible but there is a space provided for those who find this difficult
  • we usually have a Communion Service on the 2nd Sunday of each month
  • each week, coffee is served after the service so that we can get to know one another and build supportive friendships
  • we are available each week for anyone who wishes to be prayed for.
  • THAT’S NOT ALL:
Housegroup: usually meets twice each month, for mutual support, prayer, and time to reflect on various issues.

Coffee Mornings: 10.30am - 12noon. 1st and 3rd Mondays each month - a time to meet friends and chat.

Prayer: we meet together for prayer during the month. If you would like us to include you in our prayers, please put a request in the box in the Public Library.

Traid craft sales: Traid craft goods are on sale at times throughout the year, after the morning service.

    CHILDREN’S SERVICES:
These are held on Sunday mornings once a half term. They start at 10.30am and last for up to an hour. Although specifically for children, adults are welcome too!
See notice boards and posters for details.

  • members are involved with Brownies, helping at The Mount, and other village activities

  • We are available to talk with you about weddings, funerals, and Infant Dedications.
