Aircraft Activity on part of the ‘Disused’ Bovingdon Airfield

Dacorum BC refused the CLEUD application for aircraft activity at Berry Farm, Whelpley Hill (part of the disused Bovingdon Airfield) in November 2012. Recently Dacorum issued an Enforcement Notice regarding aircraft activity on Berry Farm. This Enforcement Notice was to restrict aircraft activity to 76 aircraft movements (take offs/landings) a year.

The applicant has now appealed this Enforcement Notice and as part of this appeal requested planning permission be granted for aircraft activity on the concrete runway and grass airstrip on Berry Farm land.If you want to comment you can go online to:

Driving tests at Halfords in Hemel Hempstead

Plans to offer practical driving tests from the Halfords store in Hemel Hempstead were given the go ahead today (7 May) by Road Safety Minister Stephen Hammond.

Driving tests will be available from the store every Wednesday and Friday from Wednesday 12 June. All tests will be conducted by DSA examiners.

The move is part of an initiative to offer a more local service for driving test candidates.

As well as using conventional test centres, DSA is working with public and private sector partners to provide driving tests in areas that don’t have a local test centre.
