Hemel Hempstead's Luke Donald

Local, Luke Donald is the new world number one after beating Lee Westwood in a dramatic play-off at the PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Donald, was born in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, both him and his brother Christian played junior golf for Hazlemere and Beaconsfield Clubs. Donald was the champion at Beaconsfield twice winning the first time just at the age of 15.
Donald turned Pro in 2001, and just a year later won the Southern Farm Bureau Classic, and has gone on to have a number of Tour wins. In 2009 his brother Christian, who now caddies for Paul Casey caddied for Luke.
